For this task, use a tool, like Hard Disk Sentinel.
It could even be a hard drive fault, so checking the performance / health of your hard drive is advised. Do some pings through command line and analyse if they return normally. I suggest you to check if your connection is stable, as Brotherhood has some online functionalities.
